Job Description
Working as an Aquarium Service Technician, you’ll transform your fishkeeping hobby into a rewarding and flexible career. You’ll travel to client locations across the GTA (from Bowmanville to Oakville, and north to Bradford) to maintain beautiful aquariums filled with fascinating aquatic life. While you’ll mostly work independently, you’ll always have support from a collaborative, experienced team that’s got your back.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide on-site aquarium cleaning and maintenance across the GTA
Monitor and maintain optimal conditions for freshwater (and possibly marine) species
Troubleshoot equipment, water quality, and livestock issues with care and accuracy
Foster strong client relationships by sharing your knowledge and earning trust
Assist with aquarium deliveries and installations when needed
Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the office
What We’re Looking For
Passion for aquariums – You currently keep tanks at home and love the hobby
Reliable transportation – Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
Attention to detail – Notice small issues before they become big problems and dop things thoroughly and properly
Problem-solving ability – You’re calm and creative when something isn’t working
Strong people skills – You’re friendly, professional, and communicate clearly
Mechanically inclined – Good with assembling and fixing things and comfortable working with tools
Physical capability – Comfortable lifting 50 lbs, kneeling, crouching, or using ladders
Independence – Able to manage your day, with guidance from our support team
Reliable – You show up on time, prepared, and consistently deliver professional service
Accountable – You take ownership of your work, follow through on tasks
Bonus – Aquarium retail or maintenance experience (not required, but valued)
